THE RETREAT
Time to create. Time to chill. Time to explore. Time to write.
Situated in a beautiful corner of South West France, ‘Les Mears’ is the perfect venue for our writing retreat. The house has five double bedrooms, a spacious living room, a gorgeous kitchen with a huge dining table (perfect for group writing sessions), a terrace, garden and a pool. There’s plenty of space in the house and grounds for you to write solo and the communal spaces are big enough to write in a group. It’s located at the heart of a picture perfect little village called Abjat-sur-Bandiat which a Boulangerie, Creperie and a bar that cooks up the most delicious pizzas. There are also stunning walks around the local area, a 12th century church and a few lakes nearby where you can swim and paddleboard.
The structure of this five day retreat will be a mixture of curated writing sessions (mainly in the morning) with me and time to do your own thing too. Food is provided and we’ll take turns to cook in the evenings in groups of two. We’ll have lunch out once during the week plus a pizza night at the bar in the village one evening.
These retreats are currently only available to members of The Circle but I’m hoping to release places to the wider community in 2027.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Accomodation - there are five double bedrooms. One has an en suite and the others share two bathrooms
Food - Continental breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
Drinks - unlimited coffee! Water, juice etc.
Airport transfers (Nearest airport is Limoges - 45 mins away - Ryanair fly direct from Bristol and London)
Two curated writing workshops during the week
One 1-2-1 per person with me
COST:
£849 per person
To secure your place we’ll require a £150 non refundable deposit (this will be used to secure the accommodation, prep for the workshops and booking airport transfers when flights are confirmed)

All full payments to be received 90 days before the retreat.
Please make sure you have your own travel insurance etc.
